Boarding

At a friendly house, close to home...

We provide wonderful dog care in a safe, clean and comfortable home environment. Our goal is to care for your dog as if it were our own. Your dog is offered playtimes, attention and care. We know it is difficult for you and your dog to be separated so we offer a stress-free and enjoyable experience for your dog. If your dog has special needs we will follow your instructions. Our kennel furnishes all this at an affordable price.

Our kennel is small and boards up to ten dogs at a time. Because of its limited size we are able to really know our dog companions and their owners. Dogs are sent out into secure six-foot-high fenced play yards every two hours. Dogs can be kept separate or allowed to socialize with other dogs in play groups; the choice is yours. If your dog enjoys meeting and greeting people, it can spend the day as a grooming shop dog where Jane works.

The kennel is a part of our home, so dogs are not left alone at night in a separate building. The home/kennel is constantly maintained between 68 and 70 degrees. The house has a basement so dogs can be moved to a safer environment in case of bad weather.

The Groom Room provides each dog a private sleeping area. Dogs do not sleep on the floor but on cots with bedding. Sleeping quarters are cleaned daily. All dogs have fresh water daily. Dogs are fed following your directions. In the evenings dogs participate in a supervised wind-down and couch time in the TV room. The last exercise time of the day is 10 p.m.

Charges:
1.  The rate is $15 per day/night per dog. If you pick up your dog before 10 a.m. you are not charged for day care; after 10 a.m. there is a $10 daycare charge.
2.  Minnesota sales tax is added to the cost of boarding.
3.  There are no extra charges for administering medications or supplements.
4.  There are no extra charges for special dietary needs or for adding canned meat to dry food.

At holiday time the kennel fills quickly so please call several weeks in advance to reserve a place for your pet.
